how to b-swab® with water or product - Beauty Swab

We love using b-swab® with water or product for gentler touch-ups and more efficient makeup and skincare application. We'll walk you through what makes b-swab unique compared to other beauty applicators and how we use them to create distinctive makeup effects and preserve our beauty products.

So what makes them special? b-swabs have a unique dual-layer design that enhances control over product absorption. The first layer act as a barrier, allowing for easy patting off any excess product or water, while the inner layer retains moisture. This feature enables you to use a dampened swab without worrying about drippage, fallout, or over-application. When dampened in this way, you can also reduce over-absorption of your liquid or cream-based beauty products.

Distinctive Beauty Application. Using b-swab dampened enables beauty products to be distributed and blended more evenly on the skin. With better control over absorption and precision, you can create unique looks that are not possible with other swabs or applicators. Here are some examples:

  • use with cream and liquid beauty products to create dewy, watercolor effects with different color gradients
  • collect eyeshadows and other powder-based products without worrying about introducing excess water and compromising the rest of the product
  • achieve more pigmented and saturated textures with different sheens

Gentle Touch Ups. In terms of makeup removal, a dampened swab offers a gentler experience as the fabric layer will glide easier on the skin. The controlled absorption and lack of drippage allow for touch-ups to be performed with precision and with minimal disturbance the makeup that is already in place. The microfiber knit is effective with just water but we also recommend using them with your favorite moisturizers, balms, or makeup removers.

How to Use. Here are the steps we recommend for using your b-swabs with water or product.

    1. Wet b-swab® lightly with water - no need to soak.
    2. Pat dry so the outer layer is damp but not dripping or holding excess water.
    3. If using with just water - you're ready to go! Gently tap to apply or glide over skin to remove or correct beauty smudges.
    4. If using with product - collect your beauty product. You can build up coverage and saturation, so start with a small amount.
      • powder based beauty products - tap of excess powder and apply gently on face in a tapping or sliding motion
      • liquid or cream based products - tap gently on face, collect more product to deposit more color or moisture
